MY PERSONAL POLITICAL VIEWS

For those that know me personally, this information will not come as a big shock.

I am a Republican, but I always vote for whom I feel will do best for our Country, to say the least it is NOT OBAMA!!  He has done everything in his power to destroy our Country and it's beliefs!!.

I do believe in a Womans Right to choose.. So yes I am PRO-CHOICE!!!  There are just some instances that Abortion is needed,  and yes it has Saved Lives too..

Also I believe that EVERYONE has a Right to Marry whomever they choose..  I totally support Gay Rights.  Who am I to say who should and should not marry!!  That is not right at all.  You cannot help who you fall in love with.  This has gone on since the beginning of MAN or WOMAN.

I do know this is gonna upset a few people, but this is what I truly believe in.  Does this mean I am going to vote for Obama.. Again the word is NO!!

I do respect him as a father and as a human being, but it is what he has done to our country as a whole and the economy,  which is now over $16 Trillion dollars in debt and with in a year will be over $17 trillion dollars, thanks to his Blank Check Spending.   ENOUGH is ENOUGH..

I am not 100% Sold on Mitt either.  But right now he is the lesser of 2 evils.  This has been the costliest campaign ever.  And what I am afraid of is that people are so sick of both sides that they will not vote.. And that is going to hurt this country worse than ever..

I think that also if a person wants to become President of the USA then they should also be required to spend 4 years in Military Service, anything from the Coast Guard to the Marines...As long as you served your Country!!!  There have only been 2 that have never served in the Military and look where it has gotten us..

1.  President William Clinton
2. Barack Hussein Obama

If Mitt is elected he will make #3..  And that is shameful on all of them, after all they are the Commander in Chief   That should mean that they spent time in the MILITARY!!! To earn the Respect of all Veterans..

Maybe this is something that people should seriously think about when they are voting at the Polls come this November..

At least President George W. Bush served in the National Guard and knows how to use a Rifle!!

SUMMER ON THE RANCH IS WINDING DOWN

Well, It has been a long long time since I have last entered a blog and so much has happened..

Both of the Kids worked all summer as Flagger's on highway projects across the State of Colorado and Camped out in their tents the entire time.  Only to come home on Weekends for showers and washing their clothes..

Now Dorothy is back in School at Western State College in Gunnison, her 3rd year in College Going for a degree in Forensic Anthropology..

Virgil is still working as a Flagger somewhere near Rifle CO, and he comes home every couple of weeks now..

Just yesterday here on the Ranch our Mountains got their first big SNOW of the year, and we got a nice steady rainfall.

Just this past week we got the last of the Hay put up for the year out of our field and still looking to buy some more hay to get us by for the rest of the winter.  Goats were sold about a month ago and next week I am taking a load of Calves and some older cows to the Sale, We are having to cut our herds down drastically because of the Drought that we are still in..  Every little bit of rain and snow we get we are very grateful for..  Just always PRAYING for more more more...  At least my chickens are still laying eggs and that is a blessing!!

Our Freezers are almost empty, it is a good thing that Hunting season is less than a month away, but that is scary too.. We still  have not seen any deer on our place YET and we have 2 doe tags for our property here, plus 2 buck tags and 4 Elk tags all to get filled...  That is the only meat we eat all winter long, so when the freezers are bare that gets really scary..

The days are getting shorter and the Nights are getting longer, and the first day of fall is this coming weekend..YIKES!!  The days are also finally starting to cool down.. We had a few days of 100 degree heat, that is way too fricking hot here in the mountains!!  I have posted some pictures of our snow that we got.. Just hope that we get a lot more SNOW this winter.. We need it!!

Today was pretty slow, didn't feel like doing too much, so hung out with the dogs and critters and stayed inside for most of it.  Of course the wind was blowing as usual and it was only 35 degrees outside.
Tomorrow will be much busier I have to go to the hospital in the morning to get blood work done and then I have to find a way to get some money so I can get tires on my car tomorrow too.  They are desperately needed.  I loaned some money to a friend of mine well over a year ago and I have been pestering her to repay me back, today I sent her another message to please let me know asap.  This is why I don't loan money.. It really sucks.  Right now I am in the boat of having to rob peter to pay paul etc..
Since I only get paid once a month from SSI it really hurts.  When we get taxes done then hopefully we will get some$$ back and can get caught up on bills for a little while.  I would love to know where does all of our money go?  All that happens is we get paid, then try to pay bills and then NOTHING left over..  YIKES we can't live like this much longer..

Well enough complaining for now.
Have a good one

And Life goes on

   Well Today is Sunday,

I have made it 4 days being with out kids now, I am finding out that this is kind of weird, learning to cook for just 2 people instead of 3 or 4, and that food last a lot longer than before.  That now I have to take the trash out and run all the errands around town, whereas before I could ask someone else to do this stuff for me.  Yep I depended on the kids, but now it is time for me to get my ass moving.

I go out everyday and start by watering the cows, goats and chickens, making sure that everyone has feed and taking the dogs outside with me which is always entertaining.  I think the Jacks like to test my abilities to think on my feet, they are constantly coming up with new ways to escape the yard.  They are a lot like football players everyone goes for the Quarterback (me) then they all take off, when it is 5 dogs to 1 human  that just doesn't work.

Virgil is doing good in Greeley and to my surprise he loves it up there, I never thought he would leave the mountains, just goes to show you what I know.  He doesn't know when he will be back up here, but when he does he wants to get some cooking utensils and pots and pans etc.  I told him to check the thrift stores around there too and to make a list of items that he needs.

This next week I am going to get new tires on my car and then I have to make a trip to Pueblo to see my pulmonary doctor find out what my lungs are doing and why I still get very tired easily.  They have increased my B 12 to 1000mg 2x a day and I still feel tired and weak.  So this means I get more blood work done this week too at the hospital. Oh what fun.

Well time to get to bed Good night all

Empty Nester..

Well today has been interesting for me so far and it is only 11am.  I guess it is official that I am an empty nester.  With Dorothy off at College and living in Gunnison right now and Virgil is moving as we speak to Greeley to start his own life and hopefully a job soon, this feels weird.

Of course I still have all the animals and my Jacks to keep me busy, now just try to get used to cooking for 2 people instead of 3 or 4 that will be the biggest adjustment and doing things for myself instead of everyone else.  Pretty weird, plus the high winds that are still howling around here too.  I will post more later today once I hear from Virgil and see what is happening with him.

Big Changes to our family

Well today came the big news we have been hoping for.. Our son Virgil has a new job that will take him far away from the nest.

The good news is that he will still be in the State of Colorado, at least for the time being.  It has been a blessing these past few years that he has been home to help us out and with all my back surgeries he took up a lot of the work with the goats and feeding and watering, but now it is his time to shine and he has a wonderful job opportunity with a National Oil company up near Greeley,CO.  So tomorrow he is moving there to start training with them as a Water Tech.

I think it will be really exciting for him and the possibility for him to be able to travel with this company will be awesome since they do business all over the world and the US.

Hard to believe that we will be empty nesters again lol.  I guess I have to get used to cooking for just the 2 of us again and taking care of the dogs, cats, goats and horse.  Making sure that they have water and feed.

Also I am excited to hear about the price of cattle going over $2.00 a lb, WOW I never thought that I would see prices like that ever in my life, and with the price of goat meat going up too.  Now just wishing that the price of gas would go down that would be awesome.

Right now our winds here are rocking the house really hard, we have had 50mph wind gusts going all day, just hoping that the trees all stay standing and the electricity stays on this time too.  It makes it seem all the colder outside with this darn wind.. YUCK.
Dorothy even says that the wind is really bad in Gunnison and they got more snow than we did so ground blizzards are a force to be reckoned with over there too.  When Virgil is driving to Denver tomorrow he will have to go through South Park and that is notorious for Ground Blizzards and Icy roads not to mention all the Elk that hang out on the highway.

From where We live to Greeley is about 4 hours away, he will be working 2 weeks on and 1 week off and the company provides housing for him too.  Very Nice..  Well time to get to bed.  Will tell more tomorrow once I find out.
